Still in the area of information and communications technology, Abinee has a decisive participation in the formulation and implementation of the Program for Digital Inclusion, which covers the Computer for All and Portable Computer for Students and Teachers, among others. The Barbato presidency also raises the sector’s flags, such as tax reform, social environmental responsibility, perfecting international negotiations, aiming at making labor legislation more flexible, lower interest rates, control of public spending and a more realistic exchange rate policy, more favorable for exports. Starting with meetings between Abinee representatives and the BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social - National Bank for Economic and Social Development), held in 2007 and 2008, the entity drew up and published a book; “Proposals for a new Industrial, Technological and Foreign Trade Policy (PITCE)”. This document was sent to the governmental organs and a good part of its contents was included in the Productive Development Policy - Política de Desenvolvimento Produtivo (PDP), and launched by the government in May 2008. Internally, involving the relationship between the entity and its associates, Brabato’s administration attributed priority to communication to make it more frequent, more agile, direct and qualified. The new website is continuously updated and brings with it new communication tools, which update associates regarding actions by the entity and subjects of interest for the industry. The principle Abinee meetings are now transmitted by the web and the entity’s presence has been notably reinforced. Ainda na área de tecnologia da informação e comunicação, a Abinee tem decisiva participação na formulação e implantação do Programa de Inclusão Digital, que compreende o Computador para Todos e Computador Portátil para Alunos e Professores, entre outros. A presidência de Barbato ergue, também, as bandeiras do setor, como a reforma tributária, a responsabilidade socioambiental, aperfeiçoamento das negociações internacionais, a flexibilização da legislação trabalhista, a queda nos juros, o controle dos gastos públicos e uma política cambial mais realista e favorável às exportações. A partir de reuniões entre representantes da Abinee e do BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social), realizadas em 2007 e 2008, a entidade elaborou e editou em um livro as suas “Propostas para uma nova Política Industrial, Tecnológica e de Comércio Exterior (PITCE)”. Esse documento foi encaminhado aos órgãos governamentais e boa parte de seu conteúdo, está presente na Política de Desenvolvimento Produtivo (PDP), lançada pelo governo em maio de 2008. No âmbito interno, envolvendo a relação entre a entidade e suas associadas, a gestão de Barbato atribui prioridade à comunicação, de modo a torná-la mais freqüente, mais ágil, direta e qualificada. O novo website recebe atualização contínua e traz novas ferramentas de comunicação, que deixam as associadas atualizadas sobre as ações da entidade e assuntos de interesse da indústria. As principais reuniões da Abinee passam a ser transmitidas via web e a presença da entidade na mídia se fortalece acentuadamente.
