É uma honra suceder e desempenhar a mesma função um dia assumida por líderes, como Manoel da Costa Santos, Firmino Rocha de Freitas, Aldo Lorenzetti, Paulo Vellinho, Nelson Peixoto Freire, Benjamim Funari Neto, Carlos de Paiva Lopes e Ruy de Salles Cunha. O nome de cada um deles está inscrito no panteão dos homens que fizeram a história da indústria eletroeletrônica brasileira. É uma grande responsabilidade levar adiante esse bastão e conduzir os destinos da Abinee para um futuro pleno de conquistas e realizações, superando obstáculos conjunturais e estruturais que se interpõem nesse caminho. É um desafio fazer desse legado histórico não uma âncora, que aprisiona e imobiliza, mas uma plataforma de lançamento, que projeta e lança a entidade rumo ao futuro. É possível que nenhum outro segmento industrial represente tão bem, como a indústria eletroeletrônica, as mais saudáveis e generosas aspirações humanas de desenvolvimento econômico e tecnológico. Nossa indústria marca presença no dia-a-dia do brasileiro e da sociedade em todo o planeta. É uma presença nem sempre claramente percebida, tantas são as suas manifestações na rotina diária de pessoas e empresas, por meio de uma tomada, de um interruptor elétrico e de aparelhos eletrodomésticos, passando por toda a infraestrutura de energia elétrica, e assumindo a vanguarda na área de tecnologia da informação e comunicação e seus componentes. Esta obra é um registro histórico da trajetória da indústria elétrica e eletrônica brasileira e de sua entidade representativa, a Abinee. E é, ao mesmo tempo, uma homenagem a todos aqueles que contribuíram de alguma forma para que fossem alcançadas todas as conquistas aqui registradas. Parabéns, Abinee! The name of each one of them is inscribed on the pantheon of men making up the history of the Brazilian industry of electro electronics. It is an enormous responsibility to continue carrying the baton and be in charge of the destiny of Abinee into a future full of conquests and achievements, overcoming the obstacles of conjuncture and structure placed in our way It is a challenge to make of this historical legacy not an anchor, which imprisons and immobilizes, but a launch platform, projecting and launching the entity on its way to the future. It’s possible that no other industrial segment, apart from electro electronics, represents the healthiest and generous human aspirations of economic and technological development so well. Our industry is present in day to day Brazilian life and in society around the entire planet. It is not always a clearly perceived presence, as there are so many manifestations in the daily routine of people and companies, through an outlet, a switch, domestic appliances, going on through the entire electrical energy infrastructure, taking in the vanguard in information and communications technology and its components. This work is an historical register of the trajectory of the Brazilian electrical and electronic industry and its representative entity, Abinee.
